Customer Service Representative

Medical Customer Service Representative for our Medical Equipment Company in our Cooperstown, New York Office.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Adhere to all of the Company’s policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state, and local regulations.
• Answers incoming calls and is usually the first contact for referral sources and patients.
• Ensures customer satisfaction is obtained by answering questions, resolving issues and using proper phone etiquette.
• Process patient information where accuracy and timely processing is most important.
• Maintains communication with service area regarding equipment orders and patient concerns.
• Ensures all internal and external communication is documented in a concise and timely manner.
• Ensures all necessary paperwork and/or data entry is completed accurately to facilitate efficient delivery of the order placed. This would include information about equipment, ensuring supplies and services are consistent with product, and acknowledgement of delivery status.
• Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all applicable insurance guidelines respecting eligibility for coverage and reimbursement.
• Gain knowledge of all aspects of the CSR/Intake Center to better assist all staff members with questions/issues
• Performs other related duties as directed by supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Demonstrated record of strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated record of goal achievement.
• Two-year college degree, or DME experience.
• Prior health care/office environment experience.
• Build and maintain relationships with existing referral sources in conjunction with the current CSR team
• Ability to multitask in a busy environment.
• Managing project work when required.
• Ability to follow direction
• Critical thinking skills
• Highly computer proficient; required to perform job functions; knowledge of excel.
• The ability to handle large call volume.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
