Unethical HR Leadership Team

Pros

Talented people that care, 401k match

Cons

The HRLT acts as a clique which is the environment created by the CHRO. HRLT lacks breadth and depth of skills to create a high functioning team, in which makes them manage by fear. No trust of employees, micro managed. Lacks vision, all work is top priority and a fire drill.

Pros

The industry as a whole creates a greater sense of purpose for doing the work. Challenging problems to solve in a fast paced environment.

Cons

Consistently proven that they cannot execute. The consumer business keeps the whole company afloat. Corporate products often times simply don’t work and do not integrate well. CEO has turned over his leadership team multiple times in just a few years.

Pros

- HR aside, there are wonderful people in the business functions to work with - The technology is outstanding and continues to improve - Strong belief in keeping businesses safe from cyber attacks - Solid comp and benefit plans - Friendly, casual work environment

Cons

This review is written for those who are considering an HR career at McAfee: - There has been at least 80% turnover of the entire HR function over the past 18 months. - Men are outwardly discriminated against. Less than 7% of the entire HR population is male and just recently they added a male to the HR leadership team. Men are viewed as a threat to HR leadership. - Dozens of high-performing HR employees have been terminated on a whim with no explanation. - They push a message of diversity but are unwilling to back it up with action or investment. - Career advancement is directly tied to how close you are with the CHRO. - Some Senior HR leaders refuse to meet with their direct reports one on one. - Management asks for long-term strategies yet takes no action once they're delivered. - Sr. Leaders in HR refuse to make difficult decisions for fear of looking "bad" in front of the business. - McAfee conducts a background check on all social media accounts. If you "liked" something seven years ago that they deem questionable, your offer will be terminated.
