I applied through other source. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Bloomberg (New York, NY) in Jul 2025
Interview
I interviewed for a role with Bloomberg TV and the entire process felt beneath the reputation they try to project. There were two rounds, one virtual and one in person, barely an hour in total. It felt rushed, careless, and not reflective of the seriousness a global news brand should carry.
One interviewer took notes. The other did not. Neither showed real curiosity or created any sense of dialogue. The senior decision-maker in particular avoided eye contact and came across as disengaged. It felt as though they were simply running through the motions, not genuinely interested in who I am or what I could contribute. For an institution that prides itself on excellence, the experience was unpolished and uninspiring.
After weeks of silence, I received a curt rejection with no feedback. That was the final touch. It was impersonal, thoughtless, and disappointing. Their hiring process showed none of that attention or care.
I will not be applying to Bloomberg TV again. A company that treats potential candidates with so little respect reflects poorly on its culture.
It took 2 days that they reverted back once i submitted my application to schedule HR Interview. I have scheduled a week after knowing that it’s going to be Easter Holiday. However, the HR didn’t show up. I sent her a follow up email, no response at all. HR is located in Singapore, this is so far my worst HR experience given my extensive experience.
The interview process was well-structured and overall a positive experience. It started with multiple technical interviews that covered by LeetCode. The interviewers were friendly and collaborative, often giving hints when I got stuck and encouraging me to explain my thought process clearly.
The process was fast I applied online in December and got an email to schedule interview next day itself. I selected a slot for the following week and it was very well structured
