Nerves got the better of me during the interview and I blanked, which cost me the role — but the overall process was great! Fun interview though loved the interviewer, and he was very kind and worked with me the entire time.

Design a URL shortening service. Users paste a long URL and get a short one back. When someone visits the short URL, they're redirected to the original. Walk me through how you'd build it.
The interview process was well-structured and overall a positive experience. It started with multiple technical interviews that covered by LeetCode. The interviewers were friendly and collaborative, often giving hints when I got stuck and encouraging me to explain my thought process clearly.

First round technical interview online with interviewer. Talked about past projects and then technical interview on hacker rank. Was about an hour in duration. Held on Zoom. About 40 minutes of technical interview.
Coding interview consists of quietly solving problems with little feedback/communication with the interviewer. Design interviews happen with senior management. More room for explanation. Design requirements not very clear. Hit or miss. Depends on who interviews you.
