Interview
Position: DevOps Lead
A tasteless and disrespectful process. Got in-person invite for Managerial and Architectural rounds at Bengaluru office 2:00 PM.
Reached the spot 15 mins prior and completed formalities. At 02:10PM someone escorted to interview place.
Sr Manager showed up by 2:25 all setup done to kick start.
Question: what is current role and day to day activities?
Answered.
Question2: what do u do as part of current role on daily basis?
Answered.
Other interviewer joins in room, starts scrolling through phone, 1 min silence interviewer1 to interviewer2 ask some questions,
interviewer2 ask first question before I could answer interview1 (whose team I was suppose to join) go for lunch (time 2:35).
Interviewer 2 asks few more questions like how DB is implemented since I am part of DB organization I clarify I am not from DB team but he insists saying since I am from org X I must know DB. One more question and he goes out to search someone (2:40PM) he comes back at 02:45PM and says process is over they will get back.
So technically 20 mins of total interview for which I had travel for 1.5hr, just coz they didnt had their lunch they wrapped up stuff. All this time their behavior was as if I self invited myself for interview. No respect for other's time or even the person.
