Relatively just a get-to-know-you type of interview with some competency-based questions and one technical question on general knowledge of IP law. Mainly asked approach to teamwork and how you would handle criticism.

Question 1
Explain one aspect of intellectual property law that interests you?
I applied through college or university. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at EUIPO (Alicante) in May 2021
Interview
I was called without prior notice, where I was asked about my experiences and my IP specific experience. I was then given the chance to ask any questions. I did not hear back for about 2 months, then received an offer for another service (same department overall but not the one I was interviewed by). I know from discussion with other trainees that this process changes a lot depending on the individual and the department.

Question 1
Talk me through your CV, what is your IP specific work experience.

Interview
First and only interview was short, easy-going and friendly directly with one of the person that would eventually be your mentor and that you would work close with. Felt more like a chat than an interview.
