I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Singapore) in Mar 2026
Interview
I was approached by an HR from Bengaluru, India for a position at ExxonMobil and scheduled a one-hour onsite interview in Singapore on Monday, 30 March 2026. The interview was conducted by two interviewers a Product Owner and a Code Owner.
Overall, the interview went smoothly, but there were few technical questions; most questions were similar to those asked by HR beforehand, which suggested a possible misalignment between HR and the interviewers.
I followed up with HR after two weeks and eventually received a rejection.

Application
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at ExxonMobil (Bangkok)
Interview
The interview consisted of a panel with three managers and was conducted in both English and Thai. The discussion was quite casual and focused primarily on assessing soft skills rather than technical knowledge.
Most questions were general, such as strengths, weaknesses, and how I approach different situations. There were no technical or role-specific questions.
Foi um processo longo e muito produtivo, durou alguns meses e teve alguns testes online, para depois avançar para a fase de entrevista. No geral foi um processo muito bom.
I applied for the role online via the careers website. Weeks later, I was contacted via email by a member of the team to schedule a virtual interview. This came directly from the team member, not HR. We had a 1 hr interview with two team members and me. It was more of a conversation than a structured interview, where we discussed my relevant experiences, approach to problem-solving, knowledge of the technical subject matter, etc. It was very efficient and to-the-point (just like Exxon).
