I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at US Department of Defense (Dayton, OH) in Feb 2021
Interview
Shortly after completing the online application, I was contacted to schedule an online interview via MS Teams. I was also given some documentation to review ahead of time, which described the organizations mission and primary means of operation. During the interview, I was then asked to speak to this documentation rather than just discussing my skills and experience with no context. I find this style of interview to be very effective, as I was able to specifically discuss how I might approach problems in the new role. This is a U.S. Government job, so the offer process following the interview is standardized and handled farther up the chain.
