Pros
- Can work whenever you want, as much as you want
- Pay *has potential* to be good ($25-$65 per hour)
- Can do work related to your field (with degree), or more generalized work (without degree)
- Interview process is literally just taking a test
- Good if looking for extra income or part-time work
- Doing good work results in more projects sent your way
- 100% Work from home (or somewhere with wifi)
Cons
- Almost no human interaction at all
- No benefits of any sort (no healthcare, dental, etc...)
- No matter how many hours you put in, you are always self-employed
- Availability of work fluctuates
- Work in your specific field may not always be available
- Can be difficult to make it a full time job
- They can drop you without warning or notice
- No possibility of career growth as far as I can tell
- Some projects require you to work 8+ hours in a day, others only 30 minutes. The act of checking how long a project will take means it might no longer be available to you if you wait too long.
