Pros

It's a job. And I've made some friends.

Here's a list of everything that I hate about this company and things that have actually happened to me: -I was hired at $40,000 a year (non-negotiable). Approximately the equivalent of $19.50/hour. Managers at fast food restaurants make more money than that. Little-to-no training. Commission rate is 1% of profit margin (not revenue like a normal company) while you're a recruiter. Upon promotion, there is no raise in base salary, only commission percentage. Translation: This company does not invest in it's employees. -They have A time (8am-5pm) and B time (everything else). During A time, every action you complete should be directly related to bringing money into the company. Want to talk about the game last night? B time conversation. What are you doing this weekend? B time conversation. Personal phone call? B time. Exactly 1 hour for lunch. One minute over, get ready for confrontation... -They like to brag that there's an "open confrontation model" in the company, meaning that any person at any level can confront any person at any level if they feel that they are not performing to the best of their ability or being a negative influence in any way. So your peers are not only allowed, but encouraged to take you into a conference room and reprimand if they feel you're not doing your job properly. Oh, but don't confront the higher ups, even though they say they're totally open to it. Had a friend that told the president after he asked how things were going overall that they didn't have enough money to pay their bills and a raise in base salary should be considered. Fired a week later. -Once a quarter, there's a meeting called "Plus/Deltas" in which everyone sits in a circle and shares their thoughts about each employee, highlighting what they think they do well and what they don't do so well... in front of the entire office. Think about this... a bunch of field sales people, who don't collaborate with each other at all, getting together in a room once a quarter and basically ripping each other apart for the behavior they've observed inside the office whenever everyone happens to be there at the same time. Naturally, this meeting always deteriorates into everyone being attacked about their character, girls crying, and everyone leaving with new enemies around the office. This is a REAL COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY DOES THIS. -Getting another job is difficult, not because your skills aren't transferable (which they aren't, but that's beside the point), but because if they find out that you're interviewing elsewhere, they'll fire you. It's illegal, but oh well. They will also try to convince you to rat out other people in the office if they have their suspicions. They insist that this is for the greater good of the business because they can't have negativity floating around, and if they have to ruin someone's life by kicking them to the curb while they're still actively trying to secure another job, so be it. -You don't have an assigned quota, meaning that your success is measured by whether or not management feels like they're satisfied with your performance. -Barely any vacations days and if you want to use them, no matter how far in advance you request the time off, your manager will probably guilt you and say something along the lines of "we really can't afford to lose you for a full week." Vacation days also don't roll over to the next year. -Rampant racism on both sides of the hiring process. There hasn't been a single African American hired internally in our office while I've been here. Plenty have interviewed, yet magically all were ruled out as not being "team fits". As for contractors, I can't count how many times I was told the candidates I found had to be white. -They pressure employees to write positive reviews about the company on assorted website, and even tell you to email them copies of your review to make sure you did it. When that stopped working, they had us start emailing our contractors and asking them to do it. (Notice there's magically been an explosion of reviews lately?) -They never honor the contracts with our customers. Been blacklisted from tons of accounts for not paying contractors enough, and they've even manufactured fake pay statements for customer audits.

Pros

- Interview / Placement was very well vetted. I was able to get through the interviews well as it aligned well with my experience.

Cons

- Onboarding is terrible. Basics like hour submissions are not communicated timely. - There is 0 career development oppurtunities with InsightGlobal. - They do not help place contractors again after contract wrap up. 0 effort. - No days off. I got sick days only because of New York's laws. - They will try to lowball during offer even after agreeing on a rate early. This one really irked me - I told them I wont be able to join if they cannot keep their word. They adjust quickly. - I was told this will be a 6 month contract. Upon joining, I realized from our HR portal it was only 3 months. I let them know this should be corrected. They never corrected and had me in a constant loop about it until a few days left in the 3 month. I felt they were being dishonest with the terms in the beginning and were unsure if the client would actually be extending for 6 months. - Healthcare coverage is literally as expensive as paying out of pocket.
