Pros

Depending on the account, the work isn't too bad. You'll find your niche and work with some phenomenal people.

Cons

You are treated like cattle (actually less than cattle because cows are considered sacred by the people at the parent company). The pay is consistently low, people are only given minor raises when they threaten to quit and the pay is nowhere near competitive. They hire anyone with a pulse regardless of whether they will do a good job or not which is good for them but bad for the clients. It's kind of clever when you get right down to it, because it ensures a constant supply of people willing to work for next to nothing who have no marketable skills beyond painting their nails and having loud personal phone conversations. The management in India bears down hard on the local leadership. In one instance, a supervisor left because they were asked to treat their employees unethically. As an example, some employees were told that if they miss their breaks then they are not allowed to take one. One employee with a medical condition was denied a 5 minute break to take care of said condition because the monthly SLA was low. HR is nearly incompetent. We had employees making active threats against another employee and berating them and they have yet to be fired. There are people bragging about doing drugs on premises and unprofessional behavior among the new hires is rampant. There have been so many times the employees have had to take action to improve their work space because upper management does not seem to care. They expect people to take on extra duties for the same pay as a brand new agent. This is leading to lots of people who are hard workers with high intelligence leaving. When that happens, all that's left will be the bottom. The accounts will go under left and right. They have lots of "processes" and broken systems running on code no doubt written (copied and pasted) by developers in India who don't know what they are doing. If you have an issue, and "raise" a ticket then you'll likely be told that the "concern team" will contact you. Given that they spell "Oklahoma" as "Oklohoma" in official bulletins after being corrected should give you an idea of the competency level of the parent company. If you want to be taken seriously and paid a competitive wage then look elsewhere. Things aren't going to change anytime soon because the same company that owns DXC also owns Mphasis. Where's the contract labor money going? Not to you!

Pros

If you are from India, or if you have family there, they appear to offer helpful benefits and treat you well.

Cons

Laughable experience. I've watched managers berate people publicly in team meetings. Watched them make avoidable mistakes that set employees up for failure, and then text those employees' personal phone numbers telling them how "disappointed" they are in them. Intensely disrespectful of your time and boundaries. Requires that you submit your personal phone number to a project so they can call you anytime they deem it necessary. Watched them promote a manager, promising a pay increase, and then not pay them that increase. I've had a skip-level downplay my team's importance to a project to save a few bucks on the contract. My experience has been failed projects, unhappy clients, stressed coworkers. Bad communication, and then you take the blame. If you work here, document everything and prepare to defend yourself with it. Mess.
