Pros

Payments as business sector, is booming.

Cons

In the face of record profits, leadership reduced annual compensation by more than 6% by discontinuing a popular pension plan. This decision was communicated in a ham-fisted manner which left employees with few answers on why this happened and how. Benefits meetings were cancelled and rescheduled to small rooms which allowed for limited Q&A. It was a jerk move. You need to ask yourself how you will ever be able to trust a team of leaders who get paid 1,000x more than you, when they make moves like this.

Pros

Comp is decent (although the current CEO is cutting everyone's bonus other than his and the leadership team it seems) Solid place for someone to start their career but would recommend leaving after a few years Work / Life balance is good Read the 2 stars as 3 stars for someone fresh out of school and 1 star after that.

Cons

For mid-career or beyond, joining the company is a pretty bad experience. There's a ton of long term relationships / politics that lead to incompetent folks being promoted simply because of who they know. This then breeds a culture where high performers in lower levels are laid off because they're a threat to the incompetent leaders. Overall pace is incredibly slow and bureaucratic with most people looking to find reasons not to do things vs. doing them. While there are some bright spots in the company--the average level of talent is pretty mediocre so you won't find your thinking challenged by others often.
