Pros

-Great coworkers make work life bearable -They will literally hire anyone, so if you don’t have any hope for your career, this is the place to work. -If you need hours for your licensure, you get them fast paced here, often within about 15 months, which is also unbelievable since it’s way too much for a clinician.

Cons

-Everything, from managers who don’t care about you or your life to executives that don’t give two cares what could happen to you. They’re able to afford the current CEO’s $20K retirement bonus and a new multi million dollar building, but not able to pay their employees a livable wage. -Recently, they announced no overtime anymore which makes note writing impossible because we need to see 35 clients a week. Recently they also started charging more for health insurance and framed it as “higher national costs”, but we all know it’s because of the CEO’s retirement bonus and the new multimillion dollar building. -Executives also couldn’t give two cares about the clients. The only reason they care for them is because it makes them more money that they pretty much don’t give to their employees.

Pros

-Building gratifying connections with clients and watching them grow -Great opportunity to get clinical experience -Flexible schedule for field workers -Metrocare academy trains new clinicians properly -Great community resource for those in need

Cons

-Benefits were great but are in decline, healthcare premiums raised due to “higher claim rates” throughout the company -Yearly bonuses sparsely paid and not paid on time (2025 bonus pay date was pushed 2x, ended up paying half in the winter and promised the second half late spring 2026) -Difficult to get a yearly raise, required to go above expectations to earn 5%. Can expect 2-5% for meeting minimum expectations. Performance expectations are unrealistic overall. -Increased issues with payroll for hourly employees, paychecks sometimes not paid accurately/on time. -Limited clinical resources and tools to utilize for clients with complex cases
